In an article in New Journal of Chemistry we report on a [Ni(ThioSalEn)] complex, modified by introduction of thiophene fragments into [Ni(Salen)] structure. The obtained molecule does not polymerize electrochemically due to increased electron density localized on the core metal atom of the complex. As such, the materials containing such complex may be used in catalytic systems.
