RFBR Project №18-03-00545

(2018-2020) The proposed research refers to the current direction of the development of polymer electrode materials that would make it possible to create energy storage devices with increased capacitance (hybrid supercapacitors). The significance of the project is determined by the planned increase in capacity when modifying capacitors with developed materials capable of multielectron transformations, i.e. by increasing the Faraday component of the capacitance in such devices. The scientific novelty of the project is determined, first of all, by the absence in the literature of the necessary data on charge transfer in polymer films based on complexes of cobalt with Schiff bases. Its novelty is also associated with the planned quantitative modelling of the multielectronic processes under investigation. The expected results of the project are the development of specific electrode materials based on the selected complexes of cobalt and nickel, the production of models of the corresponding storage devices and their charge-discharge tests. An additional result of the project will be the further development of theoretical concepts of charge transfer processes in conducting polymers.
