We are organizing a biennial lithium-ion conference!
XIX Li-Ion & Mendeleev 2026 Conferences
The XIX International Conference "Topical Problems of Energy Conversion in Lithium Electrochemical Systems" and its satellite event, the XIV International Conference for Young Scientists "Mendeleev 2026: Electrochemistry and All Around", will be held at St Petersburg University, Peterhof (Mikhailovskaya Dacha), September 14–19, 2026.
The main conference is the biennial flagship forum for researchers and engineers working on primary and secondary lithium electrochemical power sources — a series dating back to 1990. The Mendeleev 2026 satellite is aimed at undergraduate and master's students, PhD students, and early-career researchers under 35, with international participants expected from Germany, Italy, India, Brazil, China, Japan, and beyond.
Members of the Department of Electrochemistry are actively involved in organizing both events. Prof. Oleg Levin chairs the Li-Ion conference scientific programme and serves as a keynote speaker, while Prof. Veniamin Kondratiev also delivers a keynote. Dr. Alexey Volkov and Dr. Mariia Dmitrenko serve as Scientific Secretaries of the Organising Committee.
The scientific programme spans nine parallel thematic sessions, including plenary lectures by internationally renowned speakers such as Academician Evgeny Antipov (MSU), Prof. Andrey Yaroslavtsev (RAS), Prof. Shinichi Komaba (Tokyo University of Science), Prof. Seung-Taek Myung (Sejong University), and Prof. Yuping Wu (Southeast University, China). The programme also includes poster sessions, workshops, a commercial exhibition, and a social programme.
Registration is open with a regular fee deadline of June 30, 2026. For full details on participation, abstract submission, and registration fees, please visit the official conference website .
