In a new article published in ChemElectroChem we present the results of the study of various modifications of salicylaldimine nickel polymeric complexes without a bridge between the imine fragments. We report on the polymerization ability of such complexes and their electrochemical behaviour. Both experimental and computational approaches allow to predict the preference of the use of certain complexes as structural units for metal-organic frameworks in energy storage applications.
