In Applied Surface Science we report on atmospheric plasma-assisted synthesis of FeOOH and FeOOH/graphite for use as node materials in lithium-ion batteries. After initial structure reorganisation, the capacity of anodes based on these materials increases along with cycle number, which is beneficial for batteries with long cycle life.
